Westbourne Bronze Console Table 152cm – Aged Bronze Aluminium

Westbourne Bronze Console Table – Sculptural Aluminium Design

The Westbourne Bronze Console Table is defined by its elongated, softly rounded top and substantial central pedestal. Crafted from aluminium with an aged bronze-coloured finish, the design brings together restrained geometry and a richly varied metallic surface. Dark brown tones, warmer copper-like highlights and subtle mottling give the console a distinctive appearance without the need for elaborate detailing.

At 152cm wide, 77cm high and 35cm deep, Westbourne has the proportions of a substantial decorative console while retaining a relatively narrow profile. Its broad tabletop extends beyond the central support, creating a balanced, architectural silhouette suited to living rooms, entrance halls and carefully furnished interiors.

Aged Bronze Aluminium with a Textured Metallic Finish

The character of this bronze console table comes from its surface. Rather than a uniform brown coating, the finish reveals darker areas and warmer metallic tones across the tabletop and base. These variations become more apparent as the light changes, giving the aluminium a weathered appearance.

The console is made from aluminium, not solid bronze. Its aged bronze effect is a decorative finish chosen for its depth of colour and softly irregular character.

The rectangular top has gently curved corners and a defined edge, providing a visual contrast to the more substantial pedestal beneath. The combination of these simple forms allows the texture of the metal to remain a central part of the design.

A Metal Console Table with a Central Pedestal Base

Unlike conventional console tables supported by four legs, Westbourne rests on a single broad central pedestal. The arrangement leaves open space beneath either end of the tabletop, giving the console an uncluttered profile despite its considerable width.

The central support makes the table particularly effective when displayed against a plain wall, where its full silhouette can be appreciated. It also creates an interesting relationship with furniture that has softer, more curved forms, such as upholstered occasional chairs and rounded seating.

Westbourne weighs 35kg and should be positioned on a stable, level floor. Its solid-looking construction should not be taken as confirmation of a particular load capacity; check the manufacturer's guidance before placing heavy objects on the top.

A Bronze Console Table for Living Rooms and Hallways

In a living room, Westbourne can be positioned beneath a large mirror or a piece of artwork. Its warm, dark metallic finish provides contrast against pale walls, while the elongated tabletop creates a strong horizontal line within the arrangement.

Natural stone and timber are particularly effective alongside the aged bronze tones. Pale travertine or marble introduces a contrast in surface texture, while dark oak and walnut produce a quieter, more tonal setting. Cream upholstery and woven textiles can soften the overall composition.

In an entrance hall, the 35cm depth makes Westbourne an option for placing against a wall without introducing the footprint of a conventional cabinet. Its 152cm width nevertheless requires careful planning, particularly in narrower hallways where comfortable circulation is important.

The design also works well in a spacious dining room, where it can be used as a decorative surface against an otherwise unoccupied wall.

How to Style the Westbourne Bronze Console Table

Westbourne's sculptural form and mottled finish are best appreciated when the tabletop is not overcrowded. A low ceramic bowl, a small decorative object or a carefully arranged selection of books will leave enough of the metallic surface visible.

For a more architectural composition, position the console beneath a large rectangular mirror. The straight outline above can emphasise the table's horizontal proportions, while an organic-shaped artwork will introduce a softer contrast.

There is no need to match the bronze colour precisely across other accessories. Stone, glass, timber and matte ceramics can provide more interesting contrasts than repeating the same metallic finish throughout the room.

Care and Placement

Dust the aluminium surfaces using a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaning pads, metal polishes and harsh chemical products that may affect the decorative finish. Use protective pads beneath accessories to help prevent scratches and marks.

Place the table on a level surface and take care when moving it due to its 35kg weight. If displaying heavier decorative objects, confirm the permitted load with the manufacturer or retailer beforehand.
