Luxury Pouffes for Refined Interiors
A pouffe offers flexible seating and comfort in a compact form, making it easy to introduce texture and function without the visual weight of a larger piece of furniture. Depending on the design, a pouffe can work as occasional seating, a footrest, a dressing table seat or a decorative accent within the room.
The K&B London collection includes upholstered pouffes in bouclé, leather and other tactile finishes, alongside designs with hidden storage and softly sculptural silhouettes. For a wider selection of compact seating, explore our complete collection of stools, pouffes and benches.
Bouclé and Upholstered Pouffes
Soft upholstery gives a pouffe much of its character. Bouclé creates a tactile, looped surface and works particularly well on rounded and curved forms, while velvet and woven fabrics can introduce greater depth of colour or a more understated texture.
The choice of upholstery should be considered alongside the room’s wider materials and colour palette. Pale neutral fabrics can soften stone, timber and metal furniture, while deeper colours create a stronger decorative accent.
Storage Pouffes for Bedrooms and Dressing Rooms
A storage pouffe combines seating with a concealed compartment, making it particularly useful in bedrooms, dressing rooms and vanity areas. Smaller accessories, textiles and everyday items can be kept close at hand while the exterior remains visually clean and uncluttered.
Compact round designs work especially well beside or beneath a dressing table where both seat height and overall footprint need to be considered carefully.
Leather Pouffes and Footstools
Leather gives a pouffe greater structure and natural surface character. Hand-finished or richly toned leather can create a warmer, more substantial presence and works particularly well beside upholstered sofas and armchairs, timber furniture and natural stone.
When used as a footstool, consider the height of the pouffe in relation to the surrounding seating to ensure a comfortable and visually balanced arrangement.
How to Style a Pouffe
A pouffe can be used to introduce contrast without making the room feel overly coordinated. Position one beside a luxury armchair or luxury sofa, use it as additional seating in a dressing room, or place a sculptural upholstered design within an otherwise architectural interior to soften the composition.
For larger upholstered forms designed for the end of a bed, hallway or living room, explore our benches and ottomans.
Choosing the Right Pouffe
Begin with the intended use. A dressing table pouffe requires the correct seat height and compact proportions, while a footstool should relate comfortably to the height of the sofa or armchair beside it. Storage models also need sufficient clearance for the lid or opening mechanism.
Always check the individual dimensions, upholstery composition and care instructions before ordering, particularly where natural leather, bouclé or specialist fabrics are used.
