Linton Elm Wood Bar Stool – sculptural open back and natural proportions
The Linton Elm Wood Bar Stool 78 cm combines a slender timber frame with a distinctive open back and a light upholstered seat. Crafted from elm wood, its softly curved silhouette brings warmth and natural character to kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dedicated home bar areas without introducing the visual weight of a fully upholstered stool.
The defining feature is the sculptural backrest. A gently curved top rail wraps around the body, while shaped timber supports create an open, wishbone-inspired profile. The result feels light and architectural, allowing the natural grain and warm tone of the elm to remain an important part of the design.
A pale PU leather seat introduces a subtle contrast against the timber frame. Its smooth surface keeps the overall look restrained and contemporary while providing a more refined finish than an entirely wooden seat. PU leather is a synthetic leather-look material and should not be confused with natural hide.
A wooden bar stool for taller kitchen islands and breakfast bars
Linton measures 110 cm high, 56 cm wide and 53 cm deep, with a seat height of 78 cm. These proportions make it best suited to taller kitchen islands, breakfast bars and bar-height counters rather than a conventional 90 cm kitchen island.
As a general guide, approximately 25–30 cm of clearance should remain between the top of the seat and the underside of the counter. With a 78 cm seat height, the underside of the worktop should therefore sit at approximately 103–108 cm above floor level. Always measure the actual underside of your counter before ordering.
The built-in footrests provide a natural place to position the feet, while the curved back gives greater support than a conventional backless stool. This combination makes Linton particularly suited to kitchens where the island is used not only for quick breakfasts, but also for entertaining, drinks and longer conversations.

Elm wood with a light PU leather seat
The natural character of elm wood is central to the Linton design. Its warm grain works beautifully alongside stone, travertine, marble, quartzite and timber cabinetry, making the stool easy to integrate into both light and darker kitchen schemes.
The light seat softens the timber construction and works especially well with neutral interiors based around cream, beige, warm white and natural brown tones. Against darker cabinetry, the natural wood creates contrast without appearing harsh, while pale stone worktops reinforce its calm, organic character.
Linton is particularly well suited to contemporary, organic modern, Japandi and refined modern farmhouse interiors. Its appeal comes from proportion, natural material and the sculptural shape of the back rather than decorative excess.
Styled in pairs or groups of three along a generous island, the repeated curved backs create a strong visual rhythm while the open construction keeps the overall arrangement feeling light and spacious.
