Kensington Smoked Gold & Frosted Glass Floor Lamp 147.5cm

Architectural Floor Lamp in Smoked Gold and Frosted Glass

The Kensington Smoked Gold & Frosted Glass Floor Lamp combines clean architectural lines with softly diffused ambient lighting. Its tall, slender frame is crafted from iron in a rich Smoked Gold finish, while inset frosted glass panels soften the light and create a warm, atmospheric glow.

Measuring 147.5cm high and 26cm wide, Kensington has a strong vertical presence without requiring a large footprint. Its sculptural proportions make it particularly well suited to elegant living rooms, hallways and open-plan interiors where lighting can also function as a decorative feature.

Soft Ambient Light Through Frosted Glass

The lamp features sandblasted float glass with a frosted finish designed to diffuse the light rather than expose a harsh point source. The result is a softer, more atmospheric effect that works particularly well in living areas and evening settings.

Used alongside ceiling lights, table lamps or wall lights, Kensington can become part of a layered lighting scheme, adding a lower and more intimate source of illumination to the room.

Smoked Gold Iron Frame

The architectural frame is made from iron and finished in Smoked Gold, a warm brown-gold tone with a more understated character than bright polished gold.

The finish works beautifully with cream and taupe upholstery, walnut and dark oak, natural stone, marble and bronze accents. Its smooth metallic surface also provides a refined contrast against the softly frosted glass.

A Sculptural Floor Lamp for the Living Room

Kensington is designed to work as both lighting and a decorative object. Its tall rectangular silhouette introduces a strong vertical line into the room and can help balance wider pieces of furniture such as sofas, sideboards and console tables.

Position the lamp beside a sofa, in an open corner or near a console to create a softly illuminated focal point. With a footprint of only 26 × 26cm, it offers considerable visual impact while occupying relatively little floor space.

Layered Lighting for Contemporary Interiors

A floor lamp for the living room does not need to provide all of the room's illumination on its own. Kensington is particularly effective when used as part of a layered lighting arrangement.

During the evening, it can provide a softer alternative to overhead lighting, while at other times it can complement a chandelier, wall lights or table lamps to create greater depth throughout the space.

Ideal for Living Rooms, Hallways and Open-Plan Spaces

The slender proportions allow Kensington to work across a variety of interiors. In a living room, it can sit beside upholstered seating or a console. In a hallway, its vertical form can introduce both light and architectural interest without requiring a wide area of floor space.

It is also well suited to open-plan interiors where individual lighting points can help define different zones while maintaining a consistent atmosphere.

How to Style the Kensington Floor Lamp

For a calm contemporary scheme, pair Kensington with cream, beige or soft grey upholstery, natural timber and stone surfaces. The Smoked Gold frame introduces warmth without becoming overly decorative.

In darker interiors, the illuminated frosted glass creates an effective contrast against black, deep brown or charcoal furniture. The lamp also works particularly well alongside marble, travertine and furniture with bronze or antique metal finishes.
