Horn Antique Brass Wall Light 85cm – Cream Shade

Horn – Antique Brass Wall Light with Cream Shade

The Horn Antique Brass Wall Light has a distinctive vertical silhouette, with a long metal body that gradually narrows into a curved, pointed tip. Inspired by the natural shape of a horn, the design introduces an unexpected sculptural detail beneath a simple rectangular shade.

Measuring 85cm high, 32cm wide and 12cm deep, Horn is an unusually tall decorative wall light. Its warm antique brass-toned finish contrasts with the pale cream shade, allowing the shape of the metalwork to remain prominent whether the lamp is illuminated or switched off.

The fitting is made using stainless steel and brass, with an E27 bulb holder and a maximum specified wattage of 60W. Its combination of warm metal and a light-coloured shade makes it suitable for contemporary, Art Deco-inspired and modern classic interiors.

A Sculptural Wall Light Inspired by the Shape of a Horn

The defining feature of the Horn Wall Light is its elongated metal element. Beginning as a narrow cylinder beneath the shade, it tapers gradually towards the bottom, following a subtle curve before ending in a fine point.

A short horizontal arm connects the main body to a rectangular wall plate. The restrained geometry of this mounting detail provides a contrast to the organic shape of the horn.

The metallic surface has variations in tone, with warm golden highlights and darker, aged-looking areas. These details are particularly noticeable along the length of the horn and around the wall mounting plate.

At 85cm tall, Horn has sufficient vertical presence to work as an individual decorative feature rather than simply blending into the surrounding wall.

A Gold Wall Light with a Rectangular Cream Shade

The rectangular cream shade provides a softer counterpoint to the elongated metalwork. Its pale, lightly textured appearance sits comfortably alongside neutral walls, upholstered furniture and natural materials.

Unlike an exposed-bulb wall fitting, the shade conceals the light source from the main viewing angles. The eventual lighting effect will depend on the selected E27 bulb, its brightness and colour temperature.

For a warmer evening atmosphere, consider a suitable warm-white LED bulb that complies with the manufacturer's electrical requirements. The shape of the shade makes Horn particularly appropriate for supplementary ambient lighting rather than as the sole source of illumination in a large room.

Decorative Wall Lighting for Living Rooms and Hallways

In a living room, the Horn Wall Light can be positioned beside a large mirror, above a console or on either side of a decorative wall feature. Its long, tapered shape introduces a vertical line that works well against furniture with broad, horizontal proportions.

A pair of Horn wall lights can frame a substantial mirror or artwork, provided the wall offers sufficient space for their full 85cm height.

In an entrance hall, a single fitting can provide a decorative accent against a plain wall. The combination of warm metal and a cream shade can be coordinated with stone flooring, dark wood furniture and understated brass accessories.

For narrower corridors, consider the full dimensions of the fitting and its position in relation to doorways and pedestrian clearance before installation.

An Antique Brass Wall Light for Bedrooms

Horn can also be used as decorative bedside lighting, particularly in bedrooms with tall upholstered headboards or generously proportioned walls.

When installed as a pair, the elongated metalwork creates a symmetrical composition around the bed. The cream shades can complement neutral upholstery, linen bedding and bedside furniture in oak, walnut or darker finishes.

Because the decorative horn extends considerably below the shade, the entire 85cm height should be considered when selecting the mounting position. The lower point must remain clear of furniture and areas where it could be accidentally knocked.

As the fitting is not specified as adjustable or directional, it should be considered decorative ambient lighting rather than a dedicated task or reading light.

Stainless Steel and Brass Construction

The Horn Wall Light uses stainless steel and brass, finished in warm antique gold and bronze tones. The metalwork combines a relatively simple mounting structure with a more expressive elongated form.

The antique brass-toned appearance works well beside natural stone, dark timber, glass and softly textured fabrics. It can also complement other warm metal finishes without requiring an exact colour match throughout the room.

Installation and Care

With an overall height of 85cm and a weight of 4.5kg, Horn requires secure wall mounting appropriate to the wall construction and the manufacturer's fitting instructions. Electrical installation should be carried out by a suitably qualified professional.

Clean the metal components with a soft, dry cloth. Remove dust from the shade using a method suitable for its material, avoiding excessive moisture or abrasive cleaning products.

Always switch off the electricity supply and allow the fitting to cool before cleaning. The lamp is intended for interior use; suitability for bathrooms or other moisture-prone areas must be confirmed against the manufacturer's IP rating.
