Boscobel Palm Porcelain Umbrella Stand 38.5cm – White & Gold

The Boscobel Palm Porcelain Umbrella Stand brings a delicate botanical pattern to a classic cylindrical silhouette. Its white porcelain surface is decorated with repeating palm trees in warm beige and muted gold tones, each framed by a softly curved arch. The arrangement creates a rhythmic pattern across the body, combining tropical inspiration with the geometric order associated with decorative Art Deco motifs.

Standing 38.5cm high and measuring 22cm in diameter, Boscobel Palm is a decorative porcelain umbrella stand designed for entrance halls, hallways and carefully furnished living spaces. Its understated colour palette allows the intricate pattern to complement natural timber, stone and neutral upholstery, while the slightly flared upper rim gives the vessel a distinctive finishing detail.

A white porcelain umbrella stand with a palm tree pattern

The defining feature of Boscobel Palm is its repeating botanical design. Slender palm trunks and gently spreading leaves appear within a series of decorative arches, creating a regular pattern that extends around the cylindrical surface.

Rather than relying on strong tropical colours, the ornament uses a restrained combination of warm beige, taupe and softly golden-brown tones. The lines remain clearly visible against the white porcelain, introducing pattern without overwhelming the surrounding interior.

The arrangement of palm trees within arched outlines gives the design an architectural quality. The curved frames establish an ordered rhythm, while the natural shapes of the palm leaves introduce a softer botanical element.

The white background provides space between the individual motifs, allowing their details to remain visible. From a distance, the ornament appears as a subtle repeating texture; viewed more closely, the individual palm trees and their fine outlines become the main decorative feature.

The upper rim is gently flared, creating a slightly wider silhouette at the opening. This detail balances the tall cylindrical body and gives the umbrella stand the appearance of a traditional decorative porcelain vessel.

A decorative umbrella holder for the hallway

An umbrella stand is a useful addition to an entrance hall, providing a dedicated place for long umbrellas close to the front door. Boscobel Palm gives this practical accessory a more decorative presence, allowing it to form part of the hallway arrangement rather than being concealed.

At 38.5cm high, the stand has relatively compact proportions. Its 22cm diameter allows it to be positioned beside a hallway console, coat stand or upholstered bench, provided there is sufficient space for convenient access and movement around the entrance.

The design is particularly effective when placed against a pale wall, where the botanical pattern can be appreciated without competing with a busy background. Natural stone flooring, warm timber and brass-toned fittings provide complementary materials.

In a larger entrance hall, Boscobel Palm can sit beneath a decorative mirror alongside a console table. The soft tones of the ornament work well with cream, ivory and warm neutral finishes, bringing a subtle botanical reference into the space.

Palm tree motifs in modern classic and Art Deco interiors

Palm tree patterns have a long decorative history, appearing in textiles, wallpaper and interiors influenced by tropical landscapes. In Boscobel Palm, the botanical motif is presented in a controlled, repeating arrangement rather than as a large-scale illustration.

Modern classic interiors provide a natural setting for the umbrella stand. Its pale porcelain surface pairs comfortably with decorative wall panelling, substantial mirrors, marble flooring and consoles finished in dark timber.

Art Deco-inspired interiors benefit from the regular arrangement of palms and arches. The repeated geometric outlines complement furniture with curved profiles, warm metallic details and decorative lighting.

Contemporary interiors can incorporate Boscobel Palm as a softer decorative contrast. The pattern introduces detail alongside simple furniture, clean architectural lines and natural materials without requiring a strong colour accent.

Eclectic and tropical-inspired spaces offer another suitable setting. Palm motifs can be combined with dark wood, woven textures, botanical artwork and carefully selected decorative objects, while the restrained colour palette prevents the arrangement from becoming overly themed.

Styling Boscobel Palm in a considered entrance hall

In an entrance hall with a wooden console table, Boscobel Palm introduces a pale ceramic surface that contrasts with the grain and warmth of the timber. A large mirror above the console can create a balanced arrangement, allowing the umbrella stand to provide a smaller decorative detail at floor level.

Against a stone floor, the white porcelain provides a lighter accent, while the warm ornament picks up the tones of brass or bronze-coloured accessories. This makes the design particularly suitable for interiors furnished with neutral natural materials.

The palm pattern is detailed enough to stand on its own. There is no need to repeat the motif across wallpaper, cushions or other accessories. A restrained arrangement will allow the porcelain to remain a distinct element within the wider interior.

Boscobel Palm can also be displayed in a study or reception area where practical accessories contribute to the overall appearance of the space. Its decorative character remains apparent even when the stand is not holding umbrellas.

A traditional porcelain form with contemporary versatility

The simplicity of the cylindrical body helps balance the complexity of the ornament. Rather than introducing an unusual or highly sculptural shape, the design relies on familiar proportions and carefully arranged surface decoration.

This allows Boscobel Palm to complement a wide range of furniture, from antique-inspired wooden consoles to contemporary stone and metal designs. The warm botanical pattern adds another layer of detail without relying on elaborate colour contrasts.

Its height of 38.5cm also makes it distinct from taller umbrella stands. When choosing a suitable position, allow enough space for the umbrellas being stored and ensure the porcelain vessel is protected from accidental knocks.

Caring for your porcelain umbrella stand

Clean the porcelain surface gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges, harsh detergents and cleaning tools that could damage the decorative finish.

Porcelain is a hard but brittle material and may chip or crack if subjected to a strong impact. Position the umbrella stand on a flat, stable surface, away from areas where it could be accidentally knocked over.

If the stand is used for wet umbrellas, check and dry the interior regularly. The manufacturer has not confirmed that the vessel is suitable for holding standing water over extended periods.
